Gunnersbury Park social celebrations

Gunnersbury Park has a long and proud history for hosting special occasions dating back to the eighteenth century. It was then that the magnificent Temple was built by King George II for his daughter, Princess Amelia, for entertaining. In the nineteenth century, the Rothschild family continued this tradition when they purchased the site. They turned the 72 hectares of parkland into a haven for some of the most sumptuous parties in London. Following a £21m project, Gunnersbury Park has been restored to its former glory and we’re delighted to invite you to celebrate your own special occasion with us.

The Rothschild Rooms

Open all year round on certain days, the Rothschild Rooms – comprising the Drawing Room, Long Gallery and Dining Room – within Gunnersbury Park are a stunning suite of 3 interconnecting rooms whose impressive French doors open out onto the terrace and its’ sweeping views of the south lawns. The Rooms have an exciting combination of impressive historic features and contemporary lighting and sound facilities. With space for 200 guests for a standing reception or 180 for dining, this is therefore truly a unique space. If you’re looking for a more intimate affair, the Rothschild Rooms can be enjoyed by up to 70 guests. Picture champagne and canapes on the terrace or in the Long Gallery followed by dining in the Drawing Room courtesy of London’s finest caterers. After dinner, party the night away in the Dining Room.

The Orangery

Or, if you’re looking for something a little different, why not invite your guests to a reception in the Orangery followed by dinner and dancing in the House? In the nineteenth century, all fashionable houses had an orangery to house their fruits and exotic plants; today, this beautiful glass building with checkered tile flooring is the ideal location for entertaining. You and up to 80 guests are able to enjoy the views across the Horseshoe Pond and fountain.

The Temple

Last but by no means least, the Temple is one of the oldest buildings in the park and sits in splendid isolation on the Round Pond. For smaller parties for up to 50, what could be more perfect than watching the sun set over West London? Similarly, you can enjoy canapes in the Italian garden with its serene beauty inspired by gardens of the fourteenth century.

With a highly skilled and experienced team of event managers, we’re ready and waiting to help you create the perfect event for your celebration.
